Please use the below list of official NHS Coronavirus symptoms to act accordingly.
If your child is sent home from school with one of these symptoms, you must self-isolate and immediately seek a test. This also applies if your child develops one of these symptoms while at home. If the test is negative, your child can return to school. If the test is positive, you must inform us and isolate the whole household for 14 days.
The main symptoms of coronavirus are:
- a high temperature
- a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot, for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours
- a loss or change to sense of smell or taste – this means they cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal
If your child does not have one of these symptoms, then they can still come to school as normal. Thank you for your continued co-operation.
The School Day
Our gates open at 8.40am each morning and close at 8.55am. We operate a drop-zone system for pupils who are being driven to school. Pupils walking to school can enter through either of the two gates positioned at the front and rear of the school site. EYFS pupils make use of a gate near to their playground. Children have a morning break and this is staggered to ensure that children have plenty of room to play and run around. All pupils have a 1 hour lunch break. This will be somewhere between 11.40 am and 1.30pm depending upon which year group they are in. EYFS and KS1 pupils have an afternoon break at 1.50pm for 10 minutes. EYFS and KS1 pupils finish school at 3.10pm. Ks2 pupils finish at 3.15pm. Parents are able to enter the school grounds at the end of the day from 3.05pm. The gates are locked at 3.25pm and any pupil not collected after this time will be cared for by Afterschool Club which may be charged for.
